FPUA’s new Weatherization Education and Outreach Program (WEOP) provides Blown-In Ceiling Insulation* at no cost to FPUA electric customers while funding lasts. Studies show that ceiling insulation in Florida provides the largest efficiency gains for home heating and cooling.
The FPUA WEOP program will add up to 12 inches of blown-in ceiling insulation to assist both homeowners and renters reduce energy usage in their homes.
Upon determination of eligibility, the homeowner or landlord must complete a Release of Liability Waiver. Once the waiver is received by FPUA, we will hire licensed and insured contractors – at no cost to FPUA electric customers – to insulate your ceiling. There are no other obligations, costs or payments.
To be eligible for this program, you must be a Fort Pierce Utilities Authority electric customer. Accounts in a “deceased” status are not eligible.
