Paul A. Jakubczak, P.E., Director of Electric and Gas Systems Paul Jakubczak was born in Chicago and raised in Schaumburg, Illinois. In September of 2014 he was appointed as the Director of Electric & Gas Systems at FPUA. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and an MBA from Ashford University, and is a licensed Professional Engineer. Paul has more than 20 years of experience working in Public Power and has been employed by the City of Gastonia, NC, City of Rock Falls, IL, and Crawfordsville Electric Light & Power, IN. The Director of Electric and Gas Systems is responsible for the reliable, economical, and environmental operation of the Gas and Electric systems, overseeing a highly qualified staff to ensure that the strategic mission and vision of FPUA is followed, while strictly adhering to all local, state, and federal guidelines. As a board member of the Florida Municipal Power Agency, we work as a team to provide clean, reliable, and cost effective electrical power for municipal utility customers. The Director of Electric and Gas Systems is the main point of contact for the St. Lucie County Emergency Operations Center to ensure that utility needs are communicated and met during a time of crisis.
