FPUA welcomes and encourages community participation at our public meetings. These meetings provide an excellent opportunity for you to learn about your municipal utility and its plans for the future of the City of Fort Pierce and St. Lucie County.

Board Meetings

The Board consists of five members; four are appointed by the Fort Pierce City Commission (for four-year overlapping terms) and the Mayor of the City of Fort Pierce. Additionally, the Fort Pierce City Manager is a non-voting ex-officio member. The responsibilities of the Board include enacting resolutions and policies necessary for FPUA’s operations and reviewing and adopting the annual budget.

Utility Advisory Committee Meetings

The FPUA Board created the Utility Advisory Committee out of a desire to better engage with residents in identifying issues and concerns. This committee’s mission is to not only to identify concerns, but to evaluate potential solutions and make recommendations to FPUA on potential directions, through research and evaluation, which will take place at these meetings.
