The purpose of this information is to provide clear direction for connecting your project to the Fort Pierce Utilities Authority (FPUA) electric, gas, water, and/or wastewater utility systems.

Your project is approved through the City of Fort Pierce and/or Saint Lucie County site plan approval process. Note that approval through the City of Fort Pierce or Saint Lucie County site plan approval process does not constitute approval of your detailed utility plans through FPUA. The steps required for FPUA approval are listed below.

2. Click on the appropriate utility service connection to get more specifics on what is needed by that utility to ensure that the project is efficiently processed.

1. You will need to complete a Commercial Service Application and provide a security deposit in order to establish utility service. The Indemnity Bond or Letter of Credit is an optional alternative to the deposit requirement.

Evaluation of Onsite Sewage and Water Supply Capacity

The evaluation of facilities/businesses are regulated by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR), Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (DACS), Department of Children and Families (DCF), Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) are evaluated for adequate water and sewage services before opening or expanding operations.
