At Fort Pierce Utilities Authority (FPUA), we believe strong communities are built through collaboration, education, and service. The FPUA Community Engagement Program provides opportunities for nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, community groups, and public entities to partner with FPUA in ways that enhance quality of life, promote sustainability, and support the communities we serve.
FPUA offers several types of community engagement opportunities:
Financial support for events, programs, and initiatives that align with FPUA’s community priorities, including education, workforce development, environmental stewardship, economic development, and community well-being.
Long-term collaborations with organizations that share FPUA’s commitment to serving the community through ongoing programs, initiatives, and volunteer efforts.
Presentations by FPUA representatives on topics such as utility services, infrastructure, conservation, safety, and public service.
Structured educational programs focused on utility operations, conservation, safety awareness, STEM education, and utility career pathways.
Opportunities for schools, civic groups, and community organizations to learn about FPUA operations through guided tours and demonstrations.
Requests for FPUA employee participation in community service projects, events, and volunteer activities.
When available, FPUA may donate surplus materials or equipment that can provide value to nonprofit organizations, schools, and community groups.

All requests are submitted through the FPUA Community Requests form below. Requests are reviewed based on alignment with program priorities, community impact, operational capacity, and available resources.
Please note that submission of a request does not guarantee approval. Funding and participation are determined based on program guidelines, available resources, and FPUA’s ability to accommodate requests.
