Stealing electricity, water, and gas is a dangerous crime that affects all utility customers. Meter tampering means vital safety features are bypassed - endangering not only utility thieves, but their neighbors as well. Utility theft is a crime punishable by fines and/or imprisonment. Florida law also allows civil lawsuits that may require the repayment of up to three times the value of the stolen energy. FPUA wants to catch utility thieves. To report suspicious activity, you don't have to give your name, just the address of the suspected theft.
Please contact us if you see the following suspicious activity around a customer's home or business:

- Anyone other than an FPUA employee or contractor cutting or removing a meter seal.
