Public Notice #1:  Fort Pierce Utilities Authority

Notice of Intent to Submit a Grant Application to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity for a Critical Facility Hardening Project

Fort Pierce Utilities Authority (“FPUA”) plans to apply to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) for a grant to be funded by the Community Development Block Grant – Mitigation program (CDBG-MIT). The application will be submitted no later than June 30, 2020, which is the grant application deadline.

Grant funds will be used to replace FPUA’s Energy Service Center back-up generator to harden the utility from the impacts of rain, wind, and hurricanes. The generator is located at FPUA’s office at 1701 South 37th Street, Fort Pierce, FL 34947.

The project cost (and the amount of funds that will be applied for) will not exceed $650,000.
