Fort Pierce Utilities Authority (FPUA) remains committed to helping our customers and our community by providing reliable essential services during the COVID-19 Pandemic. In mid-March, FPUA announced all service disconnects were suspended until further notice. On April 21, 2020, the FPUA Board approved a $2 reduction in the Power Cost Adjustment (PCA) beginning in May and continuing until further notice. This PCA reduction is far-reaching and provides continuous relief over a period of months versus a one-time reduction.
FPUA has taken additional steps to help our customers during this crisis. This includes the following items:
- All penalty and late fees will be waived during the COVID-19 pandemic until further notice
- Payment plans with 0.0% interest will be available to assist customers who have accumulated a past-due balance during this pandemic. Details on this program will be released soon.
We strongly encourage our customers to stay current with their utility bills to the extent possible and we will continue to work diligently to develop programs to assist you as we transition through this crisis.
