I am a customer and employee of FPUA. As I sat working at my desk, my company cell phone rang. I answered and the voice on the other end stated that it was my local utility company wanting to send me a rebate check and give me a 30% discount on future bills. All I had to do was press 2 on my phone to request my rebate check. Although I knew that this is a scam, pressing 2 led me to someone requesting personal, banking and account information so that they could process and send the check. This is a SCAM!

Please do not EVER give personal information over the phone! Another popular scam going around is asking that you pay a bill with a prepaid debit card, usually with a short deadline. Do not succumb to these scams. If you have any questions about your FPUA bill, please hang up and call the official FPUA Customer Service number (772) 466-1600. Never dial any other number that is given to you.
